i have brought back my old korg dw-8000 into use from it's dormant state of a few years and it has been making some exciting sounds for my upcoming show in salt lake city. it's quite an interesting synth despite being extremely slow at making new patches. you can read about it here.

Trying to think of all the technical things that go into this is mind destroying. Based mostly around glockenspiel and music box samples, Sleep is a beautiful instrumental lullaby. The pieces are cut into five sections that are repetitive in a graceful, dancing way. �Sleep 5� pulls out of the pretty dream into an adventure game where you must save the knight from the vicious princess. OK Ikumi = Classic Nintendo
This is the second release of OK Ikumi�s mini CD series. Nano, created using a Game Boy and a program called Nanoloop, sounds amazing. Just close your eyes and hop into any Nintendo video game (preferably ones from the Classic Nintendo that you had to blow on the games and hope to magic the game started). They captured the hopping sound as you land on a Goomba, distorted shooting fireballs, space travel, and kachinking through a line of coins. Don�t forget the fire level, and spooky dungeons with pits of death. Then it all comes to an end with a switch to Doctor Mario�s pile of blocks overloading. I love it. �Jessica Davis

i will be playing a show at muse music in provo, utah on november 19th. friends the eden express and forest world will also be playing. i will be trying out some new songs and hopefully some new equipment!

also, i've done a couple of remixes recently that you can listen to. one (that you can listen to here) is of english band moira stewart for their upcoming remix album. the other one was a little remix i made of depeche mode's enjoy the silence, which you can download here in mp3 form. enjoy the silence was a very influential song for me, and the remix was made almost entirely using the yamaha pss-560, which was the first keyboard i ever bought.

it seems i have neglected providing updates from japan to the surprise of no one! my time here has been excellent, and it has definitely been an inspiring trip for me. i have some audio and video from a few shows, so i will try and put some things on the internet upon my return.

also, i have some things in the works that i will discuss soon. and hopefully i will play a show in utah before the year's end. another nature song has been added as well.

greetings from japan! i have been here for a handful of days now and it's hard for me to know exactly what to write. i'm still tired most of the time from the flight, but i have seen and experienced so much already.

on sunday i gave a sort of demonstration of my equipment and music-making process to a group of high school music students in osaka and it was a very cool and funny experience. my first proper show is tomorrow in shinjuku, tokyo.
